Description
Trajan is one of Rome’s greatest soldier emperors and during his reign the empire reached its greatest territorial extent. He conquered the powerful Dacian kingdom in central Europe, an event celebrated on his famous column in Rome. Later in his reign he attacked the Parthian empire, annexing both Armenia and Mesopotamia. He died without any natural borne children, succeeded by his adoptive son Hadrian.
