Description
Hermaeus was the last of the Indo-Greek kings to rule over northwestern India. His long reign finally came to end when nomadic Indo-Scythian or Juezhi invaders from Central Asia overran the area. His coins were widely copied after his death by these invaders and he may even have been of part nomad origin himself. It has been suggested that he is the ruler called Yinmofu, whom we know from Chinese sources, was allied to the Han Chinese emperor.
